Growing up in a centralized suburb of Colorado with the dream of starting her own business, Hannah Wensel started off to the small town of  Atchison, KS. home of the Benedictine College Ravens. "CAW CAW CAW"

 

While there she found herself majoring in Communications and Journalism which brought her to find her love of wine.

 

Her glass of red a day, a sunny walk through the Missouri Bluffs, and a short pit-stop to Riverwood Winery led Hannah to the first step in finding her true passion. Mead Making. 

 

The comfort and inspiration that Riverwood Winery offered her, drove Hannah to the greatness found right here in Ollie.

Named after her grandfather, Ollie Mead was created from the love of honey, passion of wine-making and the determination of a young Colorado Native striving for a truly local flavor.

 

Each Mead is carefully handcrafted and fermented then barrel-aged, blended, bottled, corked and hand labeled by Hannah and her family.
